So, you see a post like the one below on Instagram and figure, why not give it a shot?
So why shouldn’t you give it a shot? What do you have to lose?
Well we all hate fake and spammy posts on social media. We also hate people who buy fake followers (mostly a Twitter problem) and then exploit them to get jobs in social media or make money by selling adverts and spamming your timeline. It seems like every month there is a new “fake follower scandal” of some sort.
To remedy this problem, social networks work really hard to stop scrips from signing up for thousands of accounts. These “fake” accounts are also really easy to spot with simple algorithms.
So to bypass all of these checks and systems, scammers have become quite clever. This is the easiest way to get thousands of “real” followers quickly so they can them either sell the account to a less then honourable owner or use it themselves. They or the new owner can then rename the account and claim the influence for themselves or start posting spammy adverts.
So, no you aren’t going to win any free tickets anywhere. You’re just helping some scammers or spammers do their job.
Don’t be a dumbass, all your followers will think you’re an idiot. Don’t follow shitty accounts like that Kulula one.
