I have been wanting to do this blog for a very long time but have been really busy with both work and personal projects.

Over the next few days I plan to write a few posts about the tech I use, the development world, being a part of a growing digital agency, new things I am excited about as well as the personal projects I have done, starting with my Infinity Project.

My Infinity Project is just that, something that never seems to be finished. It is a home media centre that automates and organises all my home media. When I want to learn a new technology or programming language, I try to fit it into my Infinity Project. It has grown and evolved from a very basic collection of open source software with a single PHP page collecting and displaying information about it to a full MVC framework site with an API, authentication, and even weather updates.

The main hardware I use in my day to day work and personal projects includes my trusty 13″ Retina MacBook Pro, my iPhone 6, my iPad, and my old ASUS Laptop running as an always on home server permanently connected to my Samsung Smart TV.

On the software side of things I’m running OS X on my MacBook and Ubuntu 14.04 on my home server.

I have a few allegiances when it comes to brands but I generally pick functionality over a brand. I’m sure you’ll catch onto these pretty quickly the more I write.

Just a note, this is just a starter blog with a default theme. I plan to migrate it to various different technologies as I move along and evolve. It may very well become my next infinity project. I hope you enjoy the ride.
